Job Description

Seeking an experienced full-time skilled Lead Facilities Technician for a large private estate in the Miami, FL. The Lead Facilities Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the facility and ensure all equipment and systems are always functional. The Lead Facilities Technician will report to the Estate Manager and work closely with the Director of Facilities.

The Lead Facilities Technician is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the proper functionality of all
facility operating systems, managing vendors, and diagnosing any repairs that may be needed. This role
is also responsible for the preventive maintenance of all facility systems.
Confidentiality and discretion are of paramount importance.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform daily routine property walk-throughs and checks on all systems for proper functionality.
Complete any necessary scheduled maintenance checks.
Recognize and report facility problems, such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, to the Estate
Manager.
Diagnoses and has repairs fixed in a timely manner, as quickly as possible.
Performs minor preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
Create and implement maintenance procedures and maintenance schedule.
Conduct regular maintenance meetings with staff and work closely with the Director of Facilities.
Oversight of BMS management and maintenance.
Work closely with general contractors, interior designers, internal project teams, and various sub-
contractors.
Must have a direct approach with emphasis on creative problem solving and decisive decision
making.
Manages vendor scheduling for effective time management.
Schedules and evaluates vendor repair cost estimates.
Track vendor billing, project time limit and costs.
Help with preparations for on-site events and overnight guest accommodation.
Ensures the property is always client ready.
Qualifications:
5 years minimum experience working as a facilities technician for a private estate or for a
commercial property.
Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting systems, CATV- Telcom & network systems,
home audio/video systems, alarm systems, irrigation systems & pool maintenance.
Strong project management experience managing staff & vendors.
Must be independently motivated and possess strong leadership skills.
Must be meticulous and quality driven.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency with MS Office systems.
Flexible to work after-hours and on weekends and holidays.
Assisting in preparing & planning for occasional events
Ability to work with the highest degree of confidentiality.
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Successful completion of thorough background investigation and reference checks.
Schedule:
This is a non-exempt full-time position. Candidate must be flexible and willing to work weekends and
potentially on Holidays. Schedule is generally (5) days a week (Monday-Friday) while the client and/or
guests are not on-site. When clients are in the residence, hours will increase/change as needed just
before, during and after a client visit; long hours should be expected during these times.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to work prolonged periods standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Physical stamina and must be able to climb and descend stairs and ladders safely.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in inclement weather and in fluctuating and extreme
temperatures.
